Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Yum. The blueberries are really a nice complement. My kids also loved it.

Country Green Beans

Great side dish. Even my three elementary aged kids ate it. I followed the recipe exactly, except I didn't have any ham. And I probably simmered them a little longer than stated. This will be a staple veggie for us.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
Tender and delicious. We'll definitely make this again. I increased the brown sugar a bit, per other reviews. And because I had them, I added some chopped green onions to the marinade. Our tenderloins only had about 2-3 hrs to marinate and we grilled them outside.

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
Tasty and easy. I used 2.5 lbs of chicken breast and doubled the sauce (used the lemon juice in the marinade). Cooking times were spot on. Served with salsa and sour cream on top of jasmine rice.

Ham and Swiss Stromboli

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
Tasty, simple recipe...easy to have the ingredients on hand for a last minute meal. I made a Turkey Club version: deli turkey, bacon, provolone (halved bacon and cheese for health reasons - still plenty of flavor). Baked 30 min at 375. I upped the temp because I've accidentally served similar recipes with an under-done center, which was not tasty at all. The french loaf bread is easiest to handle when it's still very cold from the fridge...just find the length-wise seam and unroll.

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
Love this recipe! It's become a staple in our house. These rolls are similar (but better!) to the Sister Schubert brand of frozen rolls. I like to brush them with melted butter when they come out of the oven.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Wonderful and easy. I used green & red peppers instead of zucchini and mushrooms. I also added a few pineapple chunks. I only used about 3tbsp total of oil. My young kids thought it was a little spicy, but it was perfect for the grownups. Next time, I may tone down the red pepper flakes for their benefit. I saved this one to my Recipe Box for future use!

Banana Nut Bread II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This would be a good recipe for the right bread machine or for the oven. It did not work at all in my machine. I thought my "Sweet" setting would be equivalent to this recipe's "Cake" setting. Not the case...it was only 1/2 cooked when the machine cut off. I placed it directly in the oven at 350 for another 30 min (still inside the bread machine pan).

Grape-Nuts Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
I've been on a bread machine kick for the past couple of months. This is my front-runner favorite! I followed the recipe exactly. I was surprised at how much I liked it (not a huge fan of plain Grape-Nuts). I've made this bread several times for my family, and also given it to neighbors.

South of the Border Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2008
Yummy and refreshing! I sliced red and white radishes (instead of shredding them). Also, I used peach salsa and the light version of slaw dressing. Will make again...
