About this Cook
I am a very proud Grandmama of 2 (the second is on his way - he (I feel very strongly although none of us know yet) and I am feeling the days pass very slowly as I wait for this beautiful arrival...I desire to be the grandmama of yore where cookies were baked and the home always smelled of home baked bread - previously life, worked and ate out which is why I am listed as an amateur - LOL! I enjoy singing as long as no one hears me...exercising as long as my husband is with me...working as a waitress, honestly, I love my job and have never met so many wonderful people in my life - they are not customers they are my extended family...My boss is the Cook and owner and when I ask for recipes she will always tell me NO BRAINER COLL - must admit, irks me alittle - how cooks get everything out hot on time - blows my mind! First, I learn how to make it the rest at this stage I consider details - lol, no brainer my foot - getting everything out on time ain't easy missy! But, I also gotta tell
My favorite things to cook
Presently, the Double Tomato Bruschetta - got me going - now I'm full speed ahead
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's Irish Potato Soup - still don't know how to make...My Aunt Kathy's meatballs - she uses stuffing to the meat and her sauce is on the sweet side - don't knock it till you've tried it - the entire family goes nuts for this...Then there's my other mom - absolutely everything she makes - never leave her kitchen when I go an visit - and that's the truth!
My cooking triumphs
Cooking Christmas dinner 2007 (entirely from appt to entre) expecting 22 hungry Army guys and got 8 - here's the clincher - they took everything and I had ZERO leftovers - I was very proud for my first gala and owe it all to this site with the reviews and suggestions - I was a hit!
My cooking tragedies
Making my daughter's 6 yr birthday cake - oven was not set to 350 it was on BROIL! Ice cream cake for all and never tried it again - LOL!

Shrimp Scampi Bake
This is ABSOLUTELY delicious!!! This is SOOOO Easy - I added a bit of white wine (pinot) went alittle less on the lemon juice and alittle more on the garlic...during the last few minutes, I placed bread in the oven and Voila! Thank you so much for submitting this recipe

Garlic Crab Legs
I will never eat crab any other way again...had I had corn on the cob I would have followed the recipe. I believe the garlic and spices will add a wonderful flavor to the corn. Superb - none will be dissappointed. Oh yeah - it's worth the mess!
