About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I like to just throw things together that I think would mix well, my family always looks forward to a new creation. I like to cook simple food with a lot of flavor.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother was a cook at a very prestigious hotel back home, I would spend weekends with her growing up and we would cook all of the meals together.
My cooking triumphs
My biggest cooking triumph was when my grandmother, who I consider my cooking mentor, asked me how I made something because she liked it better than her own.

Szechwan Shrimp
This recipe is definitely a keeper. It was very close to the taste of take-out. I used Chinese hot sauce instead of ketchup because we like things extra spicy in my family. I omitted the onion for personal preference, I also quickly blanched some broccoli florets and stir-fried them with the garlic before adding the shrimp. Everyone loved it, I will definitely make this again!
