I'm a southern woman, who moved up north. Originally from Texas, met my husband in Texas, and moved to his home state, Pennsylvania. I've been here about 2 years, and love it. The winters here are not so easy getting used to. But, I have to admit, it is beautiful here, especially in the fall. And I don't miss the Texas heat. Between me and my new husband, we have 6 kids, they are all older and on there own, mine of course, live in Texas, and I miss them, and they miss my cooking. We have a German Shepherd, which was a wedding gift to me from my husband, she is our baby. Being from the south and my husband from the north, our food interests are a little different. For example, up north, Pigs in a blanket, are stuffed cabbage. Down south, they are hot dogs, covered with a bisquit. So we tend to debate alot. Well, being from the south, you know I love good Mexican food, BarBQue, and up north here in PA there is not alot of it. So, luckily I can cook good Tex-Mex, BarBQue Brisket, chicken fried steak, just good southern food. Which I must say my husband does love.
