About this Cook
I am a mom to 2 boys(age 3 and almost 7), and I also run a daycare in my home. My Husband is the worst kind of picky, because he thinks he ISN'T picky. My boys eat almost anything I tell them to eat, because otherwise they get no dessert! I like most anything, especially if it is new! I make almost all my meals from recipes I got from here. I have made a lot of good food and good friends here the last few years, and I look forward to the years, and recipes, to come!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make appetizers! Whenever my husband and I have a TV night planned, usually for a UFC pay-per-view, I only make supper for the kids, and then later we eat like 5 different appies until we are sick! Love it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Both of my parents cooked when I was growing up. My Dad was very experimental, and loved to make Chinese food. Also, his family used to all get together once a year or so and spend an entire day making a huge batch of tamales. I miss them sooo much. My Mom has always made the best turkey dinner I have ever had, as well as the best cabbage rolls.
My cooking triumphs
Whenever we go for dinner at my in-laws they ask me to bring the appetizer, and they always rave. Last week my sil said the devilled eggs I made were no good and she was going to have to take them to her house to dispose of them! I guess hoarding is the best compliment!
My cooking tragedies
Nothing major yet, but give me time.....

Jalapeno Popper Mushrooms
Sooo good! I used jarred jalapeƱos and upped the bacon a bit (because bacon is awesome) but followed the recipe otherwise and everyone loved them like crazy! I had some leftover filling I heated up the next day and dipped chips in, it also makes a fantastic dip!

Stuffed Pepperoncini
My husband loved them so much he is still talking about them days later. And for that, despite the time and effort these took, I give it 5 stars and will make again.
