Chicken Milano

Followed the recipe just as written. Amazing. My whole family loved it. I have 4 kids, 14,9,5,3 and they all liked it. Only thing was that they didn't really care for the sun dried tomatoes and picked them off to the side, which made me think to chop them super fine next time so they eat them. I doubled the recipe to serve 8 . Will for sure make it again!

Chicken and Dumplings III

Great flavor and the sauce base was wonderful. My only issue is that the refrigerated biscuts were kind of heavy and slimey. I took them out and made the old stand by of the bisquick ones and that was so much better! Nice and Light and fluffy!

Taco Soup II

great comfort food. I added corn and I also did not drain the beans. I used kidney beans only since that is the kind my kids like the best. I chopped up corn tortilla's into "noodles" and added them 5 min before we ate dinner.. YUM O

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Great cookies. A all around family favorite! I didn't have orange juice to add instead of the water as some suggested so I used apple juice instead. Turned out great! I also used all butter. I prefer not to put to many chemicals in my food :) So I didn't use the margarine. Oh I also used organic cane sugar instead of the white bleached kind. They came out beautiful!

Easy Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
My family said that it was just ok, they thought the chicken was too dry. The rice had good flavor though and they liked that. I didn't change anything with the recipe, oh I did add a bit more seasoning salt but that is it. Not sure why it came out so dry?

wonderful, doubled the batch, followed the directions except used all butter. I hate using shortening way to greasy IMO. This is my new go to oatmeal cookie!

Pan-Fried Asparagus

My husband and kids loved this recipe. We made it with fresh green beans and there were no leftovers! If you switch to green beans it will take less cooking time and a bit less oil and butter. Otherwise it will get soggy and very greasy

easy, good, Loved how simple it was. I added 3 cloves of garlic.. next time will add 6! I also added about 2 tbs of finely diced onion. I threw in a few roasted red peppers that I diced up at the end. YUM I will add sliced black olives next time too!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
Wonderful. Husband loved it. Kids prefer the bisquick recipe that takes 20 min to make! This does take a bit of time to make. I doubled the recipe and used pillsberry ready made pie crusts. It took 2 boxes of pie crusts because I had to put it in a 9x13 dish. I did bake the bottom layer for about 8 min. I made this early in the day, re- heated it in a 200 oven for 40 min and it was hot and yummy!.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Wonderful, It is does take a bit of time to make these but so worth the effort! I followed the recipe to a "T" and all went well. I had plenty of frosting with some left over. I over baked mine.. I went to get the kids from school and it took longer then I expected. I bake mine at 400 for 20 min.. they are a tad dry so I think that they would have been awesome at just 15! I will watch them closely next time! YUM

Sausage Gravy I

Just made this for a lazy sunday morning breakfast. Wonderful. I did use the bacon grease. My 2 year old loves bacon so I gave it to her to eat. I made a half batch since it would only be 3 of us eating it. I added more salt and pepper then called for. It was fast and filling! Easy also! I will make this camping this summer.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Just whipped up a batch and they are so yummy... I added 1/4 more flour like another reviewer suggested and increased the baking soda just a pinch.. They taste wonderful. I did roll these into balls instead of just dropping them on the pan.. Makes the cookies very uniform in size that way.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2008
This is so yummy. I skipped the oven baking step and just stirred it all together in a huge bowl. You have to stir and break it up as it cools for a little while. An even easier way to finish it up is to just spread it out on wax paper, then every now and then break it up into smaller chunks... My kids hated waiting for it while it baked in the oven so this worked better for us. Makes it nice a chewy.. YUM! Oh I also made homemade stove top popcorn in a large pot verses using microwave.
