Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies

Best cookies ever. Crisp on the outside, tender in the middle!!!!! You have to make these! And, as other reviews, you don't need the shortening, and you can reduce the sugar if you prefer!

Good and very versitile. I made a small tart out of it. You can also make this in a muffin pan, pulling the crust up a bit on the edges for small servings!

Pasta Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
Very good. I had leftover hamburger and some rotini in the pantry along with some cottage cheese instead of ricotta and it turned out really great. I also added some spices like oregano and basil to the hamburger and a few tbsp. of chopped fresh parsley to the cottage cheese. Will make again!

Bierock Casserole

Very, very good. I did as the other reviewers suggested. I added 1/2 jar of canned Sauerkraut and then some fresh, cooked cabbage. I also added 2 tbsp of dijon mustard the the hamb. mixture. Added a few tbsp of flour to the hamb. mixture too with 1/4 cup of water just so it combined better. Finally, I added most of the cheese on top of the hamb. layer and sprinkled a bit on top of the pastry layer before baking. My mom is german and I made this for her. She loved it!

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Excellent. I made this for my hubby on Valentines day - only with New York strips and not filet mignon. In the cast iron frying pan I cooked them about 7 mintues per side for med-rare and then just put the steaks in the cast iron right into the broiler to brown the blue cheese. Yummy - and so gourmet!

Bran Flax Muffins

Very Good. I doubled the recipe and it made 36 regular sized muffins. I also added a can (and juice) of crushed pineapple instead of the shredded apple. I had no apples - and the pineapple added incredible moisture!
