I love to cook nice meals for my family and friends, and love to bake goodies for them as well. I am always on a hunt for a new recipe when it catches my eye. I have expanded my baking to yeast breads, and I am loving the results! Other then desserts of all kinds, I love to make Italian, Mexican, Asian, griiling/BBQ and just good stick to your ribs comfort foods. I think the favorite family cooking traditions are Christmas cooking and baking. Love the smell of the house around Christmas with all the seasonings and spices throughout the air. I think that the smells are just as important as all the decorations we put up. My biggest cooking triumphs would be learning how to finally make the perfect homemade chicken and dumplings, and how to master biscuit making. My biggest cooking tragedy was learning as a newlywed how to master cooking/baking on a electric stove/oven. After a few slightly to well charred things like bacon, biscuits, baked mac & cheese to name a few, I learned REAL quick.
