Oatmeal Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
these cookies were ok I used butterscotch instead of toffee and didn't like it all that much but I bet they would be better with the toffee!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
great stuffing I did not do the whole shabang of making the actually stuffing itself, I used a boxed stuffing and added the apples, onions and cranberries. I also cooked it in broth instead of water that is stated on the box. Pretty good short-cut that left my family thinking it was homemade!!!!

Great banana bread! I don't always use that many bananas I've used as little as 3 but they were very ripe and it still came out delicious.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
These cookies were definitely deicious! I did what some of the reviews said to do about adding 1/2 cup of four and upping the baking soda to 1 tablespoon. I also added cinnamon and split the batter into two and did half without chocolate chips, they were great both ways. These cookies stayed moist and chewy and will be my go to oatmeal cookie for now on!!!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Generally I am not a fan of apple pie but after using this recipe I am!!! I make this all year round sometimes I use granny smith and sometimes I use cortlands, both have come out fantastic. I do mix the apple and caramel sauce together before pouring into my pie shell just so it evenally spreads, and i add a dash extra of cinnamon. Once you have had a slice of this pie you will have to hide the rest so you don't finish the whole thing off!!!!

This was a big hit at our super bowl party... I exchanged the hamburger for ground turkey... I promise you NO ONE could tell the difference and I certainly didn't tell anyone! I did add a little water after it simmered awhile but that was it, Definitely will never buy the canned stuff again!!!

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
This was delicious and super easy!!! I used ground turkey instead of the beef only used 1/2 cup of water and only 1 can of tomato sauce. The sauce was seasoned with italian seasonings. I drained the juice from the diced tomatoes into my casserole dish and laid the sliced par-boiled peppers on top. I used half of the tomato sauce in the meat mixture and the other half to top the peppers. Sprinkled cheese on and baked! A must make!!!

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was a simple easy dish! Def. one to keep around for something different and it's a nice alternative to calling in for chinese take-out. I didn't have the chinese 5 spice so I omitted that completely still delish though! I also added a cup of canned pineapple and maybe 1/4 cup of the canned juice. It does need a little color next time I will add some sauteed red peppers maybe chopped brocolli or snap peas. I think it'll make the plate pop, but try this one out you wont be disappointed!

Italian Pasta Florentine

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
This was very good and quick I used mild italian sausage and sliced them. Sauteed onion with some garlic while the sausage was cooking. I did as well add 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1/2 of half and half this made it creamy. I did not have spinach on hand so i used about a half a bag of frozen broccoli and added 14 oz of diced tomatoes. I let all of this simmer for as long as it took the noodles to cook and served on top with fresh parm cheese! SO YUMMY

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
This was very delicious! Very rich, I sauteed chicken breast in garlic, diced onion and butter before I cubed it. There was no need to double up the sauce there was plenty almost too much. This dish is great for company and can be made ahead of time!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
This was DELICIOUS, I only gave it a four because I made some adjustments, I used french vanilla whipcream and chocolate whip cream to do layers with including the chocolate pudding. I added fresh cut strawberries which I thought gave it some texture, definitely is important to let sit so the ingredients can marry, so delicious I will make this again!!!

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
Personally I thought the dish was good, friends thought it was great. I did take the advice and add spices I slit the chicken breast instead of pounding and rolling. Also sauteed in about 2 cloves of garlic, used season all and minced onion to season and browned, then instead of wine I used apple juice and no broth.
