I was looking for a new cookie recipe when I came across this one. I divided this recipe in half just to give it a try. Wow -are these tasty! Not too sweet and nice and chewy. I used a silpat instead of parchment paper and had a very slight sticking issue. As others noted, I used the rack second from the top and the outcome was picture-perfect. I will definitely make this recipe again! Thank You for sharing. **Note: I baked batch #2 on the Silpat for 11 minutes and there was NO sticking issue**

I am a coffee junkie and would NEVER dream of purchasing instant coffee. I saw this recipe on the Recipe of the Day, and remembered that I had instant espresso for baking and thought that I would give it a try. It will definitely make this one again. If you like a more full bodied coffee, as some reviewer suggested, go with the instant espresso. I used Ferrera instant espresso, Splenda, and soy milk and this hit the spot. This is true money saver w/endless flavor possibilities! Thank you for the recipe it is yummy. Okay, I am hooked. Went and picked up some VIA packets (one could also get the Taster's Choice version) they measure out perfectly to this recipe. Added 2TBSP. of International Coffee "Vanilla Latte" flavor creamer and added soy milk to measure 6ozs. This was great!!!

These are famous for a reason -they are AWESOME! It was my 1st attempt at pancakes and I could not have been happier. I prepared the recipe as written, with the exception of the sugar- I added 1 Tbls and used canola oil for the melted butter. The results were light, fluffy and super delicious. Will make again and again and use this as a 'plain' pancake recipe as well. Thank you Allison/Todd, a keeper for sure!!!:)

This is excellent. So easy and has wonderful flavor with so few ingredients. Do yourself a favor, don't change a thing and try this recipe, you won't regret it. Makes a great chicken salad for the next day!!!

Felix, I can't say that these are the best....good not great. However, I will attempt to make these again and may change my review. Followed the exact recipe but used a Silpat, this may have contributed to the outcome? Thanks for the recipe.

I would rate these a 4.5 for certain. I altered the original recipe, as most others seem to have done.I made the following modifications with great success: I followed Chef Joy's suggestion for the crumb topping, I coated the blueberries lightly in flour before adding them to the mixture , then substituted soy milk for the regular milk, and baked for 20 minutes and they were great. My husband (the World's toughest critic) could not even tell! Great recipe. Thank you. Will make again and again.

Disappointing to say the least. I followed the recipe exactly as posted. The batter was very flavorful. However after baking for 45 minutes I removed what appeared to be a perfect loaf of apple bread. (Note: I had inserted a metal pick that came out clean) After cooling the center sank and the entire center area from each side was mush & the edges golden and firm. Maybe it would work better as a muffin recipe? I used a glass loaf pan in a gas oven, and would not suggest this combination for a successful attempt. Maybe it is the Indian not the arrow, as others seem to rave about this recipe.

This was a simple and tasty recipe. I would have rated it higher, but I was sightly disappointed that some of the meatballs did not hold their shape very well. (My technique, maybe?) Definitely an easy recipe to add your own flavor and/or flare to, if anyone complains that this is bland it is through their own fault. With the multitude of flavorful sauces out there (and homemade varieties as well) this is a wonderful recipe to "play" with and spice it up. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing.

(would have probably scored this higher if "stiff but not dry" were clarified on the insructions for the egg whites!!??? This recipe is simply great! I don't see how you could go wrong! It is so simple & so delicious!!! If you only try one recipe on this site, this should be the one. I prepared the brownies exactly as written, baking them for only 25 minutes in a glass pan. They did appear a bit cakey at first, however, after cooling they were perfect -even better the next day! Gone are the days of "gritty" boxed brownies! Thanks for the recipe! (...To the critics that stated that these were not sweet enough, I attempted to use milk chocolate chips to enhance the sweetness, and it was NOT successful!!!!) Yummy AS IS!!!

I followed the original recipe with no modifications to the ingredients, and my attempt was very successful. The only change that I implemented was placing the mounds of mixture on parchment paper instead of "generously buttered" cookie sheets/pans, and they lifted perfectly and the clean-up was a snap. I think that I may add a bit of vanilla next time around and would also suggest waiting about 10 seconds before dropping the praline mixture. Thank you (and your Mom) for this recipe.

Outstanding. I went the distance and used the butter (actually margarine) and would not change a thing. It made 12 "portion appropriate" muffins, not too big or too small. This is a delicious receipe thank you for sharing! Can't wait to make this one again...and again.
