Me and my daughter
About this Cook
I have been a licensed automotive technician for 27 years specializing in air conditioning service and repair. I have been performing A\C services on 18 wheelers now for about four years and really enjoy my job.
My favorite things to cook
I really like to make different casseroles. Slow cooker recipes and anything found on this site.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting home from school and taking fresh bread dough and frying it. A little syrup, yummy.
My cooking triumphs
Kraft Dinner, Corn Flakes etc.... lol. Actually I can make a really good deep dish pizza that even my fussy eight year old will eat. As long as I have cooking instructions (recipes) I can usually prepare almost anything.
My cooking tragedies
I once tried to cook a roast of beef on the BBQ. It finished up so dry and tough that we went to the fast food chicken place down the road from the campground.

Creamy Vidalia Onion Soup
I made this exactly as written. I used one extremely large and one medium Vidalia onion. This tastes excellent, should of made a bigger batch lol.

Potato Chip Casserole
I made a "basket" of cooked spaghetti on the bottom of my casserole dish and then followed the recipe exactly as posted. Simply delicious. Also excellent the next day in my lunch box.

White Sauce
It`s so nice to have some of the most basic recipes posted on this site. I am a mechanic that actually loves to cook but I am not that adventurous and do not usually try to make anything without a recipe. This sauce takes me back some 40 years ago when my Mother would make me creamed peas on toast, just add a can of peas to sauce and cover a slice of toast with it. Eat it with a knife and fork, delicious. Thanks CJO for the post.
