I'm half-Filipino and grew up tasting all kinds of flavors, so I did the same for my own family. We do global fare--almost every cuisine type is worth a try. I have a huge sweet tooth though, so desserts are my favorite thing to make. Chicken Mandarin; Baked BBQ Pork Ribs; Chocolate Chip Cookies; Emilie's Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake; Caramels; Strawberry Onion Salad; A-Z Muffins; On Christmas morning, I hide a tiny plastic Baby Jesus in foil and tuck it into one cinnamon roll. Whoever gets that one gets to put the real figurine in the manger. Took quite a few years, but I can finally get Thanksgiving and Christmas meals so that everything's ready at the same time! Macaroni and cheese with canned corn beef and mustard! Eeeeeyuck!!! The recipe was from the back of the mac-n-cheese box, and we think they didn't bother to try it. Or else it was a cruel joke. =)
