Me
About this Cook
I love to cook but I am not the best at it. Everyone starts somewhere!
My favorite things to cook
I cook a lot of pork chops but my husband has been begging me to branch out!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love Thanksgiving, my birthday is usually within a couple days and I just love all the food and family.
My cooking triumphs
I mad a glorious turkey in 2007 for 10 people and everyone wanted leftovers to take home. The poor bird wasnt big enough!
My cooking tragedies
My baking skills are sub-par. I've killed many a cookie, cake, and even a casserole or two.

Sweet Potato Pie I
This pie ended up AMAZING! It is my first time trying sweet potato pie and I loved it. My bf suggested I try making it because its his favorite. I used canned sweet potatos because its all I had on hand. 16oz or 2 cups of sweet potato in light syrup instead of fresh, and I used heaping spoons of the nutmeg and cinnamon. also margarine instead of butter because its all I had. I was kind of worried about it while it was in the mixer because it looked strange. I expected it to look more like pumpkin pie. I used pillsbury premade pie crust and a silicone crust protector. I baked it at 350 degrees F for 48 minutes and it was perfect! I am submitting a picture as soon as I figure out how! I will be making this again very soon because my huney loves sweet potatos and now I love this pie!!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls
these are "finger lickin good" the only trouble i have found with these is that when you roll them they get very messy very quickly. the cinnamon filling oozes out and i would recommend that you only do about 3/4 of the mixture on the dough and save the rest to pour over before you bake. mine ended up very very delicious.
