I used chicken stock aswell as some powder onion soup mix. Also subbed grated carrots for pimentos. Was just what I wanted! Will be making again with different variations!

Slow Cooker Apple Butter

I got about 3-4 cups of actual apple butter wow it cooked down! I just left it on low for 20-22 hours then it was all done! So good!

Waffles II

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
This are wonderful I keep forgetting to snap a picture every time I make them. I've made then without whipping the whites and just adding the eggs and I've made them with the whites whipped. Both are delicious but with the whites whipped they are so much fluffier. I've started freezing them then just popping them in the toaster when rushed!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Really good! I used a 10 inch springform pan which made it quite thin. I also added the whole can of pumpkin and it was fabulous I wouldn't make it any other way! (The whole can = about 1 cup and 1/4 c). Topped with caramel sauce and pecans!

This was really good for what it was. I used vegetable bouillon and it still turned out really good.

Really good. I tossed the fruit in real maple syrup and added hazelnut extract to the topping. I used cherries and apples. I'm excited to try different variations.

Italian Rice Balls

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
These were good but so very bland. It shocked me that 1 cup of rice could consume 4 cups of water. That's kind of what these tasted like, water. I added some spices and also baked mine off instead of frying. I definitely think if I make these again a healthy portion of cheese in the middle will help out. That and maybe cooking the rice in tomato sauce or with a bouillon cube.

Orange Sponge Cake

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
I can see why this is a 4 star recipe. Mine came out dense, which may have been my fault. It was done after 25 min in a bundt pan, I was paranoid and left it in for 35. Made it more dry. Over all it was tasty, definitely needs a glaze.

Apple Maple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
Best apple crisp I've ever made. I used Watkins cinna cream sprinkles and apple bake seasonings. After it had cooled I stirred it all up so every apple piece was coated in the oat mixture and the syrup made it all so sticky and wonderful. Loved it!

Slow Cooker Potato Soup

Boyfriend loved it I was kinda meh on it. But he's the main soup eater so I trust his judgment. It needed extra spices of course and some turkey bacon for good measure :)

Used this on an indoor grill on two chicken breasts, had the rest of the sauce in a bowl for basting. Quite good.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I halved this recipe which was my own fault. I didn't really get a good rise or a great looking loaf. I made it into garlic bread. Next time I'll do a full recipe. It was good though although it had a pretty dense texture.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
Good, it did taste a little yeasty. I made two mini deep dish pizzas. Should have done three! I didn't expect the second rise to be so fluffy but it was. I ended up with really fat crusts. I filled them with veggie beef, tomato sauce, spinach, sundried tomatoes and mozza cheese. Yum! I think next time with some tweaking it'll be amazing.

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
Lately I've discovered presidents choice organic cake mixes. (In Canada you can buy them at Superstore for the same price as regular box mixes) The ingredient list is everything you have in your kitchen, no preservatives and no chemicals. Needless to say I've been cake baking up a storm. This icing would be bland without extract. It tasted like butter. I added hazelnut extract and it was amazing. Thanks!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
This was good. I used bouillon, both vegetable and chicken. I also used whole wheat pasta. I sauteed all the veggies for a few minutes then popped everything into the slow cooker for awhile. Added pasta in the last half hour, whole wheat bow ties. My boyfriend said he liked it more then our favorite take out chicken soup.

Cream Cheese Frosting I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This was good. I doubled it and used enough icing sugar to bring it together. I used room temp cream cheese and it was a little runny so I put it in a piping bag and put it in the freezer for a few minutes. Oh, I omitted the cream.
