About this Cook
I grew up on a small country farm we made everything from scratch because we had no shops just around the corner and only the basic ingredients my Grandmother was a fantastic cook and I remember she would make things like pumpkin scones, bread and butter pudding, lemon slice and banana cake and as kids we would help her so we could finish off the beaters, wooden spoon or the bowl. I think that is why I like simple flavors in the kitchen and find complicated recipes frustrating.
My favorite things to cook
Fried Rice,Anzac Biscuits,Flathead Fillets and Bread and Butter Pudding.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Good country home cooking with fresh ingredients and uncomplicated recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Lamb roast It just falls from the bone its taken a while but I have it worked out now.
My cooking tragedies
To many to list I find 25% of recipes fail the first time around until I work out what I have done wrong.

Down Under Lemon Tart
There is only one bad thing about this Recipe you need to make sure you have guests over so you don't eat the whole tart yourself its purfect the pastry is just sweet enough to balance the lemon.

Devil's Steak Sauce
Very happy how this sauce turned out. Recipe seems to handle minor changes if you have not got the exact ingredients EG Vinegar normal everyday and replaced hot sauce with pinch of chille flakes. This is very simple and makes a basic meal into something special straight to the cook book with this one.
