I'm Italian, German, & Finnish, & I love to experiment with the cultural foods of my family. I started cooking when I was 14 & fell in love with it. I'm one of those women who always has a glass of wine while she cooks. I absolutely love my skillet; I use it for every meal I make & wouldn't know what to do with myself if it broke. My favorite meals are simple Italian. I use a lot of pasta & chicken dishes & create variations of them to accommodate whomever I happen to be feeding. My maternal grandmother is Finnish, & I love homemade nissu. I also love Christmas at my paternal grandfather's house, where the whole Italian side of my family gets together for a huge surf & turf dinner. It's always delicious. The first meal I ever made my fiancee. I was terrified he wouldn't like it, but now he brags about my cooking to everyone he talks to. Just about every time I cook, I end up with splatters of olive oil on a brand new shirt.
