About this Cook
I like to cook when I have the time and a good recipe from which to work. My family tends to get in the habit of eating out far too easily, so I'm trying to break the cycle by taking over the grocery shopping, meal planning and cooking. My wife was raised by a mother who was not much for the cooking, so seeing as how my mom is an amazing cook, I decided to take a crack at it. Maybe genetics will be on my side. My wife and I run a small business during the day, so it's especially important to plan our meals ahead.
My favorite things to cook
Anything that both my two young kids AND my wife like (and is healthy).
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's Cincinnati Chili recipe, my wife's Grandmother's Beef Stew, my mom's greek salad.
My cooking triumphs
Meal planning!
My cooking tragedies
Too many to list.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes
Heck yeah. This is just an awesome, can't do wrong recipe. Will keep this filed in my arsenal of easy and great side dishes.

Raspberry-Glazed Rosemary Chicken
This wasn't bad, but the flavor was a little different than I'm used to. I think it can be chalked up to operator error, as I may have used too much rosemary.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV
This is a great, standard slow cooker stew. I like it better than my wife's grandmother's recipe, which says a lot. Would definitely make this again (and we will).
