Cilantro Serrano Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
Seriously good! My store didn't have serrano so I used jalapeno, left some membranes in for heat and used low fat half and half. Served over sauteed tilapia, but I can see using this in other ways as well. Did I mention that I loved it?

Really, really good. I used a poblano pepper instead of a green bell pepper and flank steak. Wonderful for lunch or simple supper. A keeper for sure!

BBQ Bacon Ranch Dip

This is delicious! I took it to an Independence Day party and everyone loved it. I added chopped scallions, used Sweet Baby Ray's original sauce and served with Fritos Scoops. Will definitely make again (and again)!

Strawberry Avocado Salad

YUM! I did substitute Splenda for the sugar, and used a little less as I find Splenda to be sweeter than regular sugar.

I loved this. I used turkey bacon and low fat mayo. I substituted dried cranberries for the raisins because I like 'em!

Delicious! I used white wine vinegar instead of regular distilled and used much less sugar (or Splenda, in this case). This will be made often!

Fresh Vegetable Stir-Fry with Peppery Orange Beef

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Really good. This is easier to prepare then the directions would have you believe. I marinated the beef in the teriyaki along with 2 cloves of grated garlic, 2 tsp. red pepper and sesame oil while I cut up the veggies. Mixed up the sauce ingredients in another small bowl. Stir fried the beef then removed to a bowl, covered to keep warm, then stir fried the vegies. Added the beef back in and then the sauce and cooked till thickened. The beauty of stir-fry is the flexibility of adding whatever veggies you like. I substituted broccoli for the green pepper. Next time I'll add carrots too, and more red pepper, we like heat!
