I am a certified and degreed pastry chef, you home chefs are awesome. Some of you would give professional chefs a run for their money
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are wedding cakes and the such but my favorite things to eat are my homemade cookies
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother's famous southern sweet gooey butter rolls. They are a tradition from slavery times. Her mother taught her and her mother taught her. This tradition has been passed down, this is one recipe I will confirm nor deny.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking triumps, my first Thanksgiving dinner at age 12. Did almost all the cooking by myself. With a little help from my grandmother, who raised my sister and I.
My cooking tragedies
First learning how to make homemade bread. I messed up so much flour and milk and eggs and yeast, that I didn't try for a long time. Then one of my "bestest" friends in the whole wide world, Lori Rucker, showed me how several years ago and now I love making homemade bread and rolls.
