Working mother of 4 children, my husband and I share cooking responsibilities (meaning I cook indoors and he's in charge of the grill during summer).
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and test new recipes on my family. When there's a potluck I try to bring the most unique (but 'normal') dish to share. I'm addicted to those little cookbooks at the checkout in the grocery stores. To make it worth my while (and to justify buying it to my hubby) I try to make at least a couple recipes out of each. Some have paid off in the way of family favorites!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We're still in process of working up family cooking traditions. However, when the holidays come around my sisters and I are always in the kitchen helping Mom with the finishing touches, and snidging.
My cooking triumphs
I view anything that turns out (and that I'll eat, me being the pickiest eater in the family) as a triumph! If it takes less than 30 minutes from prep to table, all that much better!
My cooking tragedies
I have too many to remember or list...there was one mexican dish I made and went overboard on the cilantro. (I haven't been able to try it since, even though I've decided to omit it next time around)
