Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
This recipe is good overall. The salmon i used was a bit big so I added the baking time a little. The next time I'd cut down on the amount of maple syrup because it was too sweet for my liking and it covers the soy sauce taste. Thanx!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
I made this for my family and they loved it!! Personally, I think it's great. The type of hot sauce used is quite important. The hot sauce i used had a different taste, causing that odd taste to emerge in the wings. The next time i'll use conventional tobasco sauce and see what happens. Also, try doing the sauce just before you serve. If you make it to early, the sauce thickens a bit and mixing it with the wings could be difficult. Overall, excellent recipe! Thanx!

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
Simple and Great! I did some alteration though. I added more lemon juice, honey and mustard to cover the overwhelming mayo taste. It won't go wrong with dressings because u can adjust them to your own liking. Serve this as a dip with some celery and carrot sticks or spread it over your sandwich. Love this one!

Garlic Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I am a huge fan of Garlic rice. This recipes was good overall. I upped the butter to 1.5 tablespoons instead. It became quite greasy but on the other hand, the rice were well coated with a nice yellow. I added 1/2 teaspoon salt as i was using unsalted butter. I also added some paprika to give it some flavour and a wonderful red tinge. I served with a roasted chicken which was a great combination. Good!

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This was my first time roasting one whole chicken. I wouldn't say it was a fantastic roast but an average one.Perhaps it was due to my lack of experience in roasting. The vegetables trimming (potatoes & carrots) can out burnt (although quite tasty). I added lemons quarters, crushed garlic bulbs into the stuffings and rubbed olive oil, salt & pepper on the skin. I must give credit that the chicken was indeed tender and moist. The drippings were very good. On the other hand, the skin was not crispy as i have anticipated. Instead it was soft although with flavour. I served it with some garlic fried rice which was a splendid combination. My whole family commended that it was terrific but it was not fantastic for my standards. I may have to practice a few more times then!

Baked Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This recipe is just great! I made it for my mother's surprise birthday party last week and received thumbs-up from everyone. All said it was marvelous. A few of them even hurried me for the recipe. I improvised by substituting the bacon with button mushrooms, however, as there were vegetarian guests as well. I was very worried when the sauce became very gooey but i followed the advice of SLOWLY putting in the milk and it turned out perfect. Thanks!!
