PHILLY Bavarian Apple Torte
Wow! I'm not a cook, so wanted something easy- and this was great. To make it more nutritious, I mixed ground flax seed meal into the crust. I also zapped 1/2 cup pecans in mini food processor and mixed them into the crust - made it delicious and crunchy. I had a few tablespoons of ricotta cheese that I mixed in with the phillie cheese - so I had to cook it a little longer - but I absolutely loved the flavor of the two cheeses. I used apples, a plum and a pear on top (leftover fruit) - didn't have any almonds to add - can't wait to make it again! thanks for sharing!

Peach-a-Berry Pie
This pie is a great idea! I used (some overly ripe) blueberries, 1/2 peach, apple, figs (from neighbor's tree - spooned out the centers) - I also heated some frozen fruit with sugar in a pot (cranberries + other berries) gave it some yummy tartness. I warmed up the crusts in oven first to speed up cooking since 50% of my fruit had already been cooked on stove. Anyway, mixed everything with some flour and sugar and put it in the oven for 30 mins and presto! note- I used less sugar than called for and I didn't use any butter.

Swiss Chard with Pinto Beans and Goat Cheese
Excellent! I ad-libbed a bit b/c of hazards of frying: I steamed the red chard/stems and separately cooked the garlic with a can of Great Northern beans over medium heat; then I mixed the greens & beans, added some butter, olive oil, freshly squeezed lime juice. Topped it with parmesan - definitely an ad-lib job, but tasted amazing!! And took no time at all to prepare.
