About this Cook
I have 4 girls under the age of 7. My poor husband! The hormones alone may kill him! I love to bake (in fact run a little side line business with them). I also love to cook. Relaxes me!
My favorite things to cook
I like baking cookies and I also like trying to get my kids to eat more than I ever did as a child. I like to try new recipes in the crockpot. Easy and usually more veggies than I can normally squeeze into the girls.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big Sunday dinners.
My cooking triumphs
I make prime rib once a year and usually it is for my Mom and Dad. It makes me smile when my Mom is constantly telling me how wonderful it is.
My cooking tragedies
I made stew for my husband right after we were married and following the instructions cooked the meat for 1 hour. I bought the wrong meat and we couldn't even bite through it! I recently made a crockpot dish with chicken from a recipe book. We all took one bite and I made grilled cheese for dinner.

Taco Seasoning I
You have to give this 5 stars when 3 of the 4 girls scarfed down their tacos. Hubby smiled and said best in a long time! I used a little less salt and crushed pepper. I also added tomato sauce and a little water after browning the meat and seasoning. Thanks, will be using this all the time!!!!

Baked Chicken Nuggets
Great recipe! I used panko bread crumbs and followed others suggestions and used egg and evoo instead of butter. Baked on the cookie coolers and broiled at the end. My 6 year old told me they were better than chick fil a's! Fibbing a little? Maybe, but making a Mom's night , priceless!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup
This was excellent! I used leftover juice from a slow cooker chicken and no water. It was delicious. Even made the strips and not the bag of chips (go me!!). Thanks for a great recipe!
