Oatmeal Craisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
These were absolutely amazing! This was my first attempt at oatmeal cookies and they turned out great. I followed the recipe except I did add white chocolate chips. They would have been amazing even without the chocolate chips. Great recipe! Definitely adding this to my cookie recipe rotation. :)

Mini Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
These were delicious, but the filling was WAY TOO sweet! Also, there was a lot of frosting left. So if I make this again, I will cut back on the amount of filling as well as how much sugar I use. The cookies themselves were delicious!

Fluffy Cake Doughnuts

i didn't care for this recipe. It was simple, but there was no real flavor to it. I think I'll look for another baked doughnut recipe.

Sweetheart Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
These didn't turn out the way i expected them to. They weren't horrible, but they weren't great either. The edges were nice and lightly brown so I pulled them out of the oven and they were still soft inside so I let them sit in the oven a little longer. There was something about the taste that was off. I think I'm going to try it one more time before I completely say 'yay' or 'nay' on this one.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
I used less sugar (maybe about 1/8 less) to minimize the sweetness and it was still very delicious. I'm not quite sure this is THE brownie recipe for me personally, but it was a hit with my co-workers.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
This recipe was very easy to make. It was a bit sweet so I may take the advice of another reviewer and add more cocoa powder to cut the sweetness a little. I did notice that the recipe calls out the serving size is 48, but i was only able to frost 12 cupcakes (barely) with this recipe. I didn't go crazy on the frosting either. I did pipe the frosting but this should have covered at least 2 dozen but it didn't.

Banana Muffins with Chocolate Chips

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
I'm not a big fan of banana bread, but I had to do something with all of my bananas. I followed the directions exactly and the bread came out perfectly. Nice and moist. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Churros II

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
I made these twice because the first time, the churros did not come out right after i fried them. The second time I did a few things different. I made sure to remove the ball of dough into a mixing bowl before I added the eggs. Also, instead of frying them, I maked them at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes each. They came out nice and fluffy. The taste was good, but I couldn't give it a five star since it wasn't 'to die for'. But overall still a very tasty recipe.

Microwave Lemon Curd

This recipe was extremely easy. I used the lemon curd to pipe into cupcakes that i made with lemon frosting. Everyone loved the tartness of the lemon curd with the sweetness of the cupcakes. :)

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
This was the first time I've ever made apple muffins and they were absolutely amazing. I followed other reviewers tip on doubling the amount of apples and using chopped and shredded. I did add some cinnamon. I will definitely be making this recipe again!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I have to start off by saying that I am not a fan of chicken noodle soup, but my boyfriend on the other hand LOVES it. So when he was sick a few weeks ago I thought I'd be the loving girlfriend and make him chicken noodle soup that's not from a can. This recipe was so easy and delicious that even I had some. I made this soup again last night since the bf has been begging me to make this again. This recipe is definitely a keeper and I will continue making this for a long time! Thanks for the great recipe Maryvm!

Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wrap

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
I made very small modifications to the recipe, but I have to say that this recipe was absolutely AMAZING! Instead of ground meat, I used chicken and chopped them up into small cubes. I omitted the pickled ginger and used regular distilled vinegar because I didn't want to buy rice wine. I included about a 1/4 cup of sweet and spicy chili sauce and reduce the amount of sesame oil to 1 teaspoon. I served this up with warm rice and lettuce and I can assure you that I will be making this recipe many more times! Delicious!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Although this recipe was pretty good, I would have to agree with another user who said that it tastes like sugar cookies. On it's own I think the cake is delicious, but with frosting it didn't taste qutie right. As other users commented I too added a little more milk.

Mongolian Beef I

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I thought this was a good recipe, but I will make some changes to it next time. I did take some of the reviewers tip on either doubling or tripling the sauce which I doubled. Next time I will omit the cornstarch in which the meat is marinated it. It made the beef too creamy for my taste.

I'm not what went wrong, but the graham crackers came out soggy. It ended up being a complete mess and I had to throw it out. I would like to think i'm a pretty good baker, but this one is definitely a baking tragedy for me.
