I have been a member here for a little while but haven't posted reviews or taken photos. I have been in Iraq since November and while craving good food, visit this website often and add recipes I plan to cook while I am home! I am going home on leave in 2 days which I am going to take lots of pictures of the food I eat and cook! Can't wait to get home for good and start cooking again! I love to cook new things and find out they are family favorites. I can't wait to host my own Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner one day, but since Dad is another beloved cook in the family we might have to fight for that spot! :) Growing up I never really got into cooking, actually my Mom did all the cooking but in recent years with Food Network so popular, Dad has taken over and I myself have become a good cook in my own household! I did enjoy baking cookies with Mom every holiday especially scary Halloween cookies! I would say the best so far is my sushi using raw tuna and salmon at home and my grilled pizza. My Dad said he will have to work hard at trying to top the pizza so I consider that a very big accomplishment! The first night I tried to cook for my brother and some Army friends a really good chicken dish at my brother's house, I was not used to his stove and burnt the heck out of it. After all the talk they hear about me being a good cook, they still tease me about it!
