Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Soooo good! I put some red pepper flakes in too for an extra kick. I ended up cooking a lot longer because I was waiting on someone so they got a little mushy but even still they were a hit! I probably doubled the sauce ingredients & used 6-7 big potatoes. Yum!

Peppermint Meringues

I don't think I whipped them long enough, I tried to put them in a ziplock with a hole in the corner to pipe them on the baking sheet but they just oozed out...lol...then after baking the recommended time they had the consistency of styrofoam...lol...but the kids still enjoyed them! Thanks!

Ridiculously easy and so tasty! The hardest part is unrolling the rolos. :)

Mom's Red Scalloped Potatoes

These were pretty good. Very rich! Definitely needed about 20 minutes extra cooking time. Tasted similar to a broccoli cheese soup with potatoes. Not a bad thing but maybe a bit too rich for our tastes. :)

Tasty! A nice alternative to either a corn side dish or cornbread...we enjoyed it. Thanks!

Famous Butter Chicken

This was good. Mine didn't get as crispy as I think everyone else's must have. Overall we enjoyed it but it didn't WOW me like I hoped it would. Will try it again though. Thanks!

Ginny's Cheezy Macaroni

Agree about the weird curdling but can overlook that cuz of how easy it was! Would like more flavor next time though - adding some spices or sharper cheese. Will definitely make again!

Turkey Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Yum Yum...only rated 4 stars due to a bunch of changes (mostly just cuz I'm lazy...lol). Uncle Bens in the pot w/broth (more than called for, not sure how much), then put in turkey & green onions, the seasoning packets...let that simmer for about an hour. Then poured in 2 c cream and the sherry at the end. Topped with the bacon at the end. Delish!

Pretty good. Seemed a bit thick for me but overall very tasty. The kids seemed to enjoy it, never thought about using the fried onions. Gave it a good flavor!

Very Very good. I used oats instead of bread and forgot the beef bullion. I also doubled the glaze. Will definitely make this again. Thank you!

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Wow! This was very good and quite easy. I soaked my noodles first, probably about an hour or so. I also used more sauce and threw in some cottage cheese with the ricotta because I needed to use it up. Other than that, no changes and everyone thought it was delicious. Will def use this recipe again. Oh - used a lot less dishes too. Soaked the noodles in the 9x13, browned the meat, onions, garlic in a skillet and then added the sauce to simmer. Only one bowl for the ricotta/eggs mix. Not necessary to mix the cheeses in a new bowl...just my 2 cents. Thanks again!

Bean Burrito Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
So easy and so tasty. I had to cook mine longer as they were still cool after 30 minutes but you can't find a simpler recipe that tastes this good. I added the salsa right into the soup/sour cream mixture and used beef/bean burritos. Delish!

This was okay. Certainly easy, although it dirtied up a lot of dishes. Everyone loves velveeta - but I am not sure there was enough flavor for us. Thank you though!

Skip the breading next time and don't cook for 8 hours...it shredded. The breading added nothing.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

I cheated and used cream cheese with chives, also stuck a handful of fresh baby spinach leaves. Microwaved the bacon ahead of time so it was a little cooked already. My breasts were pretty thin so they only needed 30 minutes at 350. Very tasty!

Rosemary Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
We really enjoyed this and it was a lot simpler than I thought it would be. Great tasting too. I think I probably used more rosemary than was called for, also used some powdered adobo seasoning to kick it up a notch. We are stuffed! Will definitely make it again.

Awesome Red Wine Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Very very very good! My only changes were to use beef broth instead of water and I doubled the broth/wine to about 2 cups. Great balance of spices. I also made some brown gravy to drizzle over the top of all the meat and veggies at the table. Will definintely use this again and again.
