About this Cook
I am a 22 year old, Registered Nurse who is getting married in September, and living in the Washington DC area. I grew up in an Italian family from Pittsburgh, PA who love to cook and love to eat. I'm getting pretty good at cooking but I still have a lot to learn!
My favorite things to cook
The same things I like to eat! Chicken Parm, Wedding Soup, Tilapia, Steak, Baked Ham, Roast Beef, Mashed potatos, potato soup, crepes stuffed with ricotta cheese in cream sauce, lasagna, fettuchini alfredo, salads, homemade raspberry jam, pies, cookies, brownies... etc. etc.
My cooking triumphs
My first homemade pie crust was definitley a triumph. It took me forver to get it to the right consistency, and I was so frustrated I was ready to just run out to the store and buy one! But finally I got it to the perfect flakey texture and the pie turned out amazing.

I make this cheesecake for my husband and he loves it! They only change I make is to add one vanilla bean. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Pot Pie IX
This recipe was wonderful. I made this the day after Thanksgiving using leftover turkey instead of chicken. Instead of the chicken broth I used the turkey stock I made. I didn't have any celery or celery seed so I omitted them, however, I'm sure they would be a nice addition. I used a bag of frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, green beans, corn) instead of the fresh carrots and frozen peas. I also sliced some fresh mushrooms and added those inside. I added one potato cooked and diced. I used store bought pie crust. I will definitely use this recipe again with my leftovers next Thanksgiving! Thanks!
