Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
These bars are delicious, a great caramel treat, although I must admit berry bars are more delicious for me. You can omit nuts and chocolate and they are still very good.

Thai Green Curry Prawns

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
Very tasty curry, but the texture was too soupy. I used only 3/4 can coconut milk and I couldn`t thick it. I used more soy sauce too. I think, you can use chicken (or maybe beef) in this recipe and make it without green beans and corn (or add later). It will be a great dish.

Caramal Banana and Rum Parfait

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Priyanka, I am glad to be the first to rewiew your wonderful recipe. It was my first parfait and it was amazing. Very creamy and tender. Next time I`ll use more sugar to make caramel and will add a little brown sugar.

Batata Nu Shak (Potato Curry)

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Thanks for sharing, Susmita, we were very impressed. This dish reminds me of the delicious potato dish or curry I`ve tried in my local Indian restaurant. But this was even better. I didn`t have fennel seeds and asafoetida, so I omit them. Very delicious.

Peach Margarita

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Maybe it were my peaches, but I seemed this cocktail was bland. I used lime juice and orange liqueur instead of lime margarita mix and all I felt in this cocktail were lime juice, tequila and something else, but this something wasn`t peach flavor. I`ve tried other fruit margaritas (strawberry, banana, mango) and these were better in comparison with this one.

True Blue Custard Crunch Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
This pie is fantastic! I baked it and a half of this pie disappeared just in 20 min after baking. I used a little brown sugar in the custard and added brown sugar and cinnamon to the topping. Cheap ingredients and very easy to make.

Orange Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
Overall these cookies are good, but these won`t be a favorite in my house. These are crisp, but a little dry and mediocre. My suggestion is put 1/3-1/2 cup coconut flakes into the dough, but after baking sprinkle them with coconut flakes, but not to roll cookies in coconut, because, coconut flakes become brown quicklier than cookies are ready and I had overbaked coconut flakes on the top. I doubled the recipe and I had 24 cookies.

Plum Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
This is good, but not a great pie. I made this with pears. I liked the filling and the topping, but it`s not "my" dough. A little dry and dense for me. This pie is better, than some others I`ve baked, but I`m still looking for a keeper.

Marrakesh Vegetable Curry

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Tasty, but next time I will definitely double the spices, because they are a little unnoticeable. Need to add water or more orange juice, because the liquid evaporated quickly. Overall, this is a great way to prepare vegetables.

Mangorita

This is a delicious mango margarita, a great summer treat, I often make this. But be sure, you mango is ripe enough or use canned mango, otherwise, you feel lack of flavor.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
These are good cookies, although I must say I wanted more from this recipe. I agree with other rewiewers who said these cookies had "cake like cookie" texture (a little moist). The glaze was very good.

Kashmiri-Style Kidney Beans with Turnips

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
This is very tasty. I like vegetables, but I know only few delicious ways how to cook them. This is my new favorite. I didn`t have fennel seeds, so I used mustard seeds. And I used a regular garam masala. I hope, this dish will be a staple not only in Kashmir, but in my house too.

Very good recipe. I used 3/4 cup cilantro and my own homemade tomatillo salsa. We used it as a dip and it was wonderful.

Pineapple Sour Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
This pie is absolutely amazing. Just like a piece of heaven. Tender and fluffy. I used only 1/4 cup sugar, because my canned pineapples were a little sweet. Definitely I`ll make this again and again.

Victory Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
These were my first brownies, I`ve never made them before. I think, these were very good. The texture was fudgy, a little crumbly (I baked for 25 minutes). If you chewy brownies, this is not your recipe. The taste was great, very rich, I loved chocolate with orange and pepper. I increased orange zest and pepper as suggested.

Humitas Chilenas

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
My family prepares a similar dish "corundas" and I wanted to make a new version. If you are considering making this dish be prepared to dedicate a few hours to them. This recipe is not for beginners too. I didn`t like them so much, but my mom enjoyed them, that is why I give 4 stars. They were a little dry. Next time I will try them with other goat cheese (not Manchego) with softer texture.
