Cranberry Raisin Pie

Delicious! I needed to use up raisins and cranberries and this recipe was a delicious way to do it. This is the best cranberry pie I have tried so far. I used fresh cranberries and less sugar.

I don`t eat meat, made this recipe for my mom, so there is her opinion. I made just the meat filling using Rosina`s Empanadas dough recipe from this site. I followed the recipe exactly, just omitted vinegar. This is the best meat filling we have tried so far, but we had a feeling this won`t be the one keeper. To suit my family tastes, next time I will omit raisins, because my mom didn`t like so much the sweetness that came from raisins. Green olives gave a very nice flavor, I used less than 1/2 cup. Delicious and interesting. Thanks for the recipe.

Sheila's Perfect Sangria

Very good sangria. I didn't use pink limonade, just added cranberry juice to the lemon lime soda and used orange juice instead of liqueur. Next time I will use more coconut liqueur, it gives a great tropical hint. I think the sangria uses too much fruits, next time I will definitely use less. I liked the sangria wasn't overpowered with soda that some restaurant sangria is. Good recipe, we used to drink champange at New Year's party, but it was a great alternative.

Ricotta Bruschetta with Olives

I would give 4,5 stars. We loved the idea and the flavor, but we wish the flavor were a little more piquant. I don't know what I would change or add, maybe more garlic. But thanks anyway, I will make your recipe again.

Pina Colada Punch

Totally amazing! This punch has a wonderful pina colada flavor. I used coconut milk instead of cream, a regular carbonated water and a little less rum. A very festive and delicious drink, we were very surprised, hope, this will become a one of my favorite drinks from now.

Cranberry Yeast Bread

We liked this. Very interesting and unusual flavor. The flavor reminded me of red wine. I didn`t have molasses, so used honey water instead and used fresh cranberries. Very delicate texture. Thank you for the recipe, Merlion, you recommended me it in the recipe buzz.

Rich and Creamy Roasted Eggplant Soup

This is a good and interesting soup. I made this for my father and he doesn`t care for goat cheese, so I omitted it, but I would definitely use goat cheese in this soup. I used water instead of chicken broth and added rosemary and basil too.

Cabbage Koora

This is a good recipe for cabbage. I had cabbage to use up and this recipe caught my eyes. I didn't have chana dal and peas, so omitted them, but used onion. Delicious and easy to make too.

Blueberry Cornmeal Muffins

Baked Oatmeal II

This recipe was a completely new thing for me, I have never tried baked oatmeal before. I dot't care for boiled oatmeal, so I wanted to try this. This recipe is a nice kick on oatmeal. I liked the flavor, my only complaint was the oatmeal was a little dry. Next time I would add more cranberries or maybe raisins.

Winter White Sangria

4,5 stars from us. I have never tried white sangria before, so I was very surprised how it will be. The taste was pretty nice, citrusy and refreshing. This sangria definitely is a great drink for hot weather. I made a mistake and put more club soda and I used rum instead of cognac. Next time I would use lemons and limes without zest.

Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

The sauce is very good and interesting. Good alternative to a tomato sauce for pasta. I hurried and forgot to put butter in it and I think it is optional here.

Vegan Bean Taco Filling

This is a good, quick and cheap recipe. I chose it to make something easy for supper. Not fantastic, but good for beans. The flavor here depends on salsa you use. I used homemade tomato salsa, added lime juice and didn't use cornmeal. Next time I would definitely add cilantro and maybe cheese.

Buttermilk-Battered Calamari

The Real Mojito

I made this cocktail two years ago, but I've just realized I didn't reviewed it. I must say I am not a Mojito lover, I prefer fruity Mojito, but this recipe is a real deal. Better than any bars can do. I didn't change a thing.

Nanny's Spaghetti Sauce

The sauce is wonderful, very rich and full of flavor. I used tomatoes in their juice instead of tomato sauce. Very easy to make and can be frozen ahead.

EAGLE BRAND® Peanut Butter Fudge

The fudge was very good. The flavor was very and peanutty. I liked the fudge wasn't too sweet I thought it would be. I guess the texture of my fudge was a little wrong, I don't know where was my mistake, but I seemed my fudge didn't set up and was a little sticky. Maybe next time I will heat the mixture longer. But who cares for the texture, it was so delicious.

Frosted Rhubarb Cookies

We loved these cookies. I have never thought the rhubarb can be used to make cookies. As the previous reviewers, I can say that the rhubarb flavor wasn`t intense, but we loved the flavor. I didn`t make the frosting because wanted to decorate cookies by my own. This is a great recipe to use rhubarb not just for pies and cakes.
