"VERY RUNNY! The batter dripped all over the place! What a waste!" < This was my review last year. After listening to my husband tell me that even though they were very thin, they were 100% the best cookies he had ever tasted. I decided I would give it another try. This time instead of using a mixer, I mixed them completely by hand. DO NOT melt or soften the butter, make sure the butter is solid (fresh out of the refrigerator). By doing that, the batter was a little sticky but not runny at all. I made 2 "test" cookies.... they melted down and were extremely thin. I then added the 1/2 cup of flour and they are PERFECT. If you like cake-like cookies, these are not for you but if you enjoy soft & crunchy cookies with great flavor, you will love these! My husband said that this recipe is by far the best chocolate chip cookie recipe that he has ever had.
