Bulgogi (Korean Barbecued Beef)

Excellent!!I sliced the beef very thinly and removed as much of the fat as possible and marinade it for over 24 hours. So good!! The amount of pepper is perfect to offset the saltiness of the soy sauce. I also cooked it in a skillet on the stove because it was less work for the same basic result. Doesn't need the veggies either. I served my meat over white rice with a salad on the side. This will be one of the meals I make when top sirloin goes on sale!! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Buttery Corn Bread

Excellent!!! I made this to go with chili. I also made honey butter to go on top of the bread. (1/2 c butter & 1/3 c honey, whipped and served at room temp). This is the absolute best corn bread. As suggested by other reviewers, I mixed in a squirt (@1-2 TBSP) of honey in the finished batter. Excellent flavor and moist!!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

These are good, just not my favorite chicken enchilada. It is time intensive with a lot of ingredients. If I were to make these again, I would omit all the ingredients in step 2 except the shredded chicken, taco seasoning packet, and water. I would simply simmer these ingredients for 10 minutes before proceeding to step 3. I would also use the "chicken taco seasoning packet" instead of the one suggested.

Baked Pasta with Sausage and Baby Portobello Mushroom White Sauce

I made this recipe exactly as suggested. However, after everything was assembled in the casserole dish, I realized the recipe never stated when to add the parmesan cheese. So I sprinkled it on top since I didn’t have any other options at that point. However, I am pretty sure it is suppose to be added with the cream to make the sauce more of an alfredo type sauce. Oh well, I hope this helps. This dish had good flavors, but I probably won’t make again.

Real Texas Chili

This ended up being a good dinner because the meat was tender and the flavor was good. However, it is not the type of chili we are used to. We are not from Texas though!! Probably won't make Texas style chili again. I think we prefer a thicker chili that has onion, green chilies, tomatoes, etc.

Good salad. If your are worried that the dressing may be too sweet, make it with only 2 TBS of sugar. I found that to be perfect. You can always add more if you want it sweeter.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

I like the idea of the salad. However, the dressing was too sweet, or too something. the dressing simply overpowered this salad. If you do make this salad, lightly drizzle on the dressing. You can always add more.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

These are good. I had a difficult time removing them from an ungreased cookie sheet without them breaking. So I sprayed a little Pam on the next tray and they came off much easier.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

This is great. My friend had a slice and said it tastes just like her favorite bread that she gets at Macaroni Grill!! They only difference is that this bread is not as crunchy on the outside. Anyway, this is a good bread to go with a nice pasta and dinner salad.

Chutney Baked Brie

This was good. Definitely different. It is one of those appetizers that some will love and others will try and not go back for more. I don’t think I would serve it as the only appetizer, but it is a nice addition to a party that has an appetizer table. The mango chutney was not with the jellies and jams in the grocery store. It was on a whole different isle. You may have to ask where they stock it.
