About this Cook
I'm a wife and mother of two little girls. :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and am willing to try almost anything that's easy. My oldest loves to help me so it has to be something that she can help out with. We're having a blast trying out all of these recipes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
None really. My mom has always made Thanksgiving dinner, all by herself (her choice) so that's the only thing traditional I can think of.
My cooking triumphs
Hmm....I screwed up a mint cookie recipe and somehow I managed to still make an edible cookie. Score one for me!
My cooking tragedies
Oh I have far too many to name! :)

Easy BBQ Bake
We had this for dinner last night and for me it was just "ok". It may have been a little too sweet for chicken. I'll keep this recipe around though because it was incredibly easy to throw together. Next time I'll experiment with different flavors of bbq sauce. Last night we used Famous Dave's Sweet and Zesty.

Basic Baked Spaghetti
I'm giving this a "5" based solely on the reaction from my 2 year old. She took a couple of bites and I heard "Yuuuuummmy!!" After that, I knew I would add this to our rotation. I used extra lean turkey meat and whole wheat pasta. We used FF shredded cheese but it didn't melt very well. Next time I'll use real cheese and layer it in the spaghetti before baking. I'm not a cheese person, but even I enjoyed the extra flavor. Thanks for an easy dinner!!

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes
My husband made this for dinner tonight and it was SO good! He cooked the kielbasa and potatoes separately and added seasoning salt to the potatoes. He also used green peppers instead of red. Very good dish...it will be added to our food rotation.
