About this Cook
Semi-retired; part time sales associate
My favorite things to cook
Italian (because I can call on my mom and aunt if I need help - it's my heritage)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being at my mom's/aunt's for holiday meals, i.e., thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (tradition of the 7 fishes)
My cooking triumphs
Spaghetti sauce and meatballs; venison (although I don't eat it); zucchini parmagiana
My cooking tragedies
Steaks, of any kind. I can never seem to get them tender.

Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Biscuits
I had an off-brand 12 oz. jar of PB and 3 ripe bananas that no one here would eat,so I used all of that, 1 cup of oatmeal, a dash of honey, and the extra yolk. I 'tested' on my dog, Mojo, and he had 2 right away; took one for each of my friend's dogs, and needless to say, what a hit. And, healthy too!!!! (Mojo smelled the PB so he finished up what was left on the spoon!!!!)

Jalapeno Poppers of Champions
I've never tried these particular ones, but when my family was here from New Orleans, my stepson made some similar. After seeding and removing the membranes to make the peppers milder (to my dismay, lol) he also added some cheddar on top of the cream cheese before wrapping in the regular meat bacon. YUM YUM YUM. A big hit that I'll make for a long time to come.

Buffalo Shrimp
I love anything hot, and this fit the bill. However, I used cooked shrimp and so they came out a little chewy, I served the sauce to my family from New Orleans and it was a big hit when I made it again for fresh shrimp that were grilled and fried. They took the recipe home with them!!!
