Apple, Cranberry, and Pear Crisp
Oh, this is wonderful! Easy and delicious. I did not use the specific apples and pears mentioned. I did sub raisins for cranberries as well as I was afraid if it was too tart my little ones would not go for it. Anyway, it was so yummy with a buttery, crispy crust. Thanks!

Toads in the Hole I
I grew up in New Zealand, where British recipes are common. Toad in the Hole was something we eagerly gobbled up as kids! This recipe was enjoyed in our house here in the US. (Being vegetarian, I did use Tofurkey's Topsail Ale Beer Brats - they are awesome and meat-free!) It didn't produce quite the results I'd hoped for though. Although I took care with my batter prep, hoping to produce a nice, fluffy "pudding," the finished product was quite dense. Although it puffed up, it didn't puff up enough to cover the sausages. However, as I said we did enjoy it!

Italian Stewed Tomatoes
Great recipe! Thanks. I had a large box of tomatoes, all ripe, to use up. Wasn't in the mood for a pasta sauce but knew I had to do something to cook them down before they went bad. This fit the bill. I omitted the green bell pepper (didn't have one). I used fresh-frozen basil instead of dried. Served over rice and beans. Recommended.
