I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and added a dash of Old Bay seasoning to the batter and 1/4 tsp to the butter mixture. I also used extra sharp white cheddar cheese. Excellent! I'd say they were even better than that seafood chain's biscuits!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Vinegar

Excellent! This is a regular vegetable side dish in our house; we have it at least once a week! I roll the asparagus in olive oil and fresh minced garlic. Season and roast according to recipe. I take it out a few minutes before. Sprinkle with a bit of freshly grated parmesan cheese and broil for a minute or so. Wonderful!!!

Parmesan Garlic Bread

Excellent! I replaced the garlic salt with fresh minced garlic (about 2 or 3 cloves) and I still used garlic powder -- it is garlic bread after all. I also doubled the parmesan cheese. I'll never buy garlic bread again. This was easy and so worth the effort! Thank you!

Favorite Corn Bread

This was the best cornbread we ever had! Moist, flavorful, not at all crumbly! I did replace the shortening with an equal amount of butter, because that's what I had on hand. I also added 1/4C of honey to the batter. Fantastic! Thank you!

Carrot Cake III

This was a fantastic recipe. We did deviate from the original a bit. We made the cake into cupcakes first. Secondly, we replaced the oil with 1C of unsweetened applesauce and 1/4C of canola oil. We replaced all the white sugar with 1C brown sugar and 1C white sugar. We added an extra tsp of vanilla, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and an extra tsp of cinnamon. We also added 3/4C golden raisins. We also used less sugar than called for in the frosting for a more cream cheesey taste. These was such an incredibly moist cake! Absolutely delicious!! We will never ever buy a carrot cake again! Thank you!

Baked Potato Soup I

I made this last night and it was very easy to make and delicious! I substituted skim milk (Tuscan's skim plus) instead of whole milk and no one knew the difference. It was great!

Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Turkey

Made this last night. It was very easy to make and delicious! I substituted skim milk for whole milk to cut down on some of the fat, and no one was the wiser. It was great!
