Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

We used country-style ribs and kind of made some sort of mash up as far as the sauce is concerned. We put in BBQ sauce and a little bit ketchup + all of the other ingredients; it turned out great. By the time these were in the slow cooker the entire time they were just falling apart.

Pork Dumplings

This was a delicious recipe. When making I substituted spinach instead of the Chinese cabbage, and only put in 1 1/2 cups of it in the mixture. I also added a bit more garlic. For a dipping sauce I followed the recommendation of FullTime Mom by mixing 2 T. soy sauce, 1/2 t. vinegar (rice vinegar is best but all I had was white vinegar), a drop of sesame oil, I also added a red pepper flakes. As other reviewers have mentioned these do take some time to make but if you have someone to fold while you stuff it goes much faster.

Indian Tandoori Chicken

This was good. I was hoping it would have more flavor since I marinated it for over 24 hours; However, it was still tasty. We baked it at 450 for 20 minutes then lowered to 350 for another 10. As a side dish I made basmati rice to try and have the whole Indian thing continue.

Shrimp Scampi II

This was different but it was good. I followed the recipe as it directs and it turned out pretty good. I will make this again but I have other shrimp dishes that I enjoy making more frequently.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Bomb. This was a really great soup and was extremely easy to prepare. I was worried looking at the roux that it wasn't going to be thick enough but make sure and cook it a little longer then it suggests to get it good and thick before you add it to the water mix. The white pepper is key and I used 1/2 white pepper and 1/2 black pepper and I loved the way the white pepper taste. This tasted kind of like a soup I remember having last time I was in Germany! Awesome!

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

They were the best when they were fresh! The cookies then seemed to dry out too much for my liking. However, cookies really are never bad so I will certainly still eat them! Eat them while they are chewy!!!!!

Szechwan Shrimp

I loved this dish and would make it over and over again! The flavors were really good and the heat was just right. I may actually add extra red pepper next time just becuse I love spicey food! I want to make this again soon.

Four Cheese Macaroni

My fiance made this one day while I was at work and we ate when I got home. I must say that I do not really have such a strong affection for cheese as she does, however, this was awesome! The cheese was not overwhelming but still had great flavor. Really heavy dish so unless make this sparingly.

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Good easy homemade potatoes. I kept the skins on about half of the potatoes and peeled the rest. Also, I liked the fact that these were not over loaded with butter and the garlic really stands out nicely!

Zippy Chicken Corn Chowder

Good soup! I have always like corn chowders and this also satisfied my love for a little spice in my food. Pretty hearty soup so I would suggest omitting the bread unless you don't want to get off the couch after eating this one.

Garlic Chicken

It is what it is. I mean looking at the ingrediants I was not expecting anything overwhelming and that is what I got. It had good taste and was easy to prep. I would make this recipe again just due to the fact it is easy to make and during the week I don't have as much time to make crazy things.

Really good recipe and easy to make! This a great alternative to traditional pasta bakes and gives you the Mexican flavors. I followed the recipe exactly and I would not suggest that anyone change a thing!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

eh.....not bad, not good. This was easy to prepare but I thought for all the great smells during cooking it would have tasted better. I added the cream which most people suggested and I can't imagine what it would have tasted like without it. Nutmeg didn't make much differance in my mind.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

This was the bomb. It seems that we always make the heavy-duty rib sticking stuff and this was one indeed. Prep was pretty easy but I would make sure and pound the breast thin so they are easier to roll up. My only issue was the breading came off too easy and made moving the chicken while it was cooking or transferring to the plate tricky because it had a tendency to fall off.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

I was reluctant when we were making these because the mixture looked pretty gross prior to placing it on the fish. However, when all is said and done these were awesome! I think that I would follow others and add a little bit of bread crumbs to give it more hold. Also, probably add some cayenne pepper to give a little spice. Really easy to prep and cooks quick.

These are ok...pretty bland and they do not hold together well at all. From the stand point of being easy to prepare they are great but I would probably mess around with adding some more seasoning next time. Sorry no picture

Cilantro-Lime Rice

This isn't really that good. We doubled the recipe and were anxious to make it due to the fact that we enjoy that certain "burrito place" that they claim it tastes like. However, such was not the case. I don't know if it is because we used a rice cooker but it just didn't turn out that well. The taste was a lot more like chicken when I was expecting more lime and cilantro. I would probably cut the chicken bullion is half and add more lime juice and cilantro. Still, we put it in burrito shells with seasoned chicken...not too bad, not too good. Sorry no picture...just looked like rice

Hearty Garlic Potato Soup

This was good but not great. Didn't do too much to alter the recipe other then that we added 1 pound of sausage instead of the 1/2 pound;I think that it gave it more substance. Also, added a few shots of hot sauce prior to serving. Next time we may mess with the seasoning to give it a little more flavor.
