California born & raised. LOVE to travel - especially to London. I have a pen-pal in London and we have been corresponding for 35 years (as of August 2008). Just about anything. And I can't stick with simple either. If I invite people for dinner there are going to be numerous courses and a printed menu. Christmas dinner is traditionally a Cuban meal with roast pork, black beans & rice and fried plantains My pickled beets - they won 1st prize at the 2008 California State Fair ! I also make a mean pasta with lemon cream sauce. So far I have not had good luck with yeast bread. I've been through 2 different breadmakers, tried doing it the old fashined way and I still can't get it right.
