About this Cook
I'm 30, married (3 yrs) and work in the financial industry. We have two canine kids - Apollo and Athena. They are Italian Greyhounds and completely rule our house. I love to cook. When I'm stressed out, I like to cook (and sometimes enjoy a big glass of wine while cooking) a big meal.

My mom is a great cook. I grew up on Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. Real homey food. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles, good stuff.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner. It's now my favorite meal to cook. I make it a few times a year.
My cooking tragedies
Too many to name. LOL I've thrown whole dishes out many times.

Ganache II
I made this and poured it into a tart pan with a thick graham craker crust then topped with raspberries and served with fresh whipped cream. So pretty and good too.

Pan Fried Halibut Steak with Light Green Sauce
Served over sea bass; it was just ok. The flavors weren't anything extraordinary and I wouldn't make again.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake
Good. I'm used to a denser carrot cake but will make again, possibly add more cinnamon.
