My late father loved to cook. He was an inspiration to me. He was famous for his homemade bratwurst and homemade noodles.
I am a member of a cooking club. We meet once a month and cook dishes from a country selected the month before. I really enjoy trying new recipes and tasting them.
My favorite things to cook
A recipe I have not tried before.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband is hispanic and I have learned to cook the same dishes his mother and grandmother made. My family made a lot of German dishes.
My cooking triumphs
My recipes have been in Taste of Home magazine and books. I was a runner up with my dad's cheesy egg puff recipe. I have been featured in my hometown newpaper with a two page article. One of my double duty tips was featured in Racheal Ray magazine. I recently hosted 14 people for Christmas dinner doing almost all of the cooking myself.
My cooking tragedies
It took me a long time to learn to make spanish rice. I finally learned not to stir it during the cooking process. Now I never have a batch fsil.
