Tropical Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
This was a really great coffee cake! Very nice and moist, and pretty easy to make. As suggested I covered the cake with foil for the last 15 minutes. Next time I will reduce the sugat by half, it was a little too sweet for my taste.

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

Great! My husband loved this dish! Very easy to make, I assembled everything in the morning and baked for dinner. I sliced the potatoes very thin and even then they were not done, I had to bake covered for an additional 45 minutes.

Broccoli Casserole III

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This dish was a huge hit at our Thanksgiving dinner. Here are my changes: I steamed the broccoli just enough to taw, once cooled and chopped and mixed in a bowl with the cheese and put in a casserole. I only used half of the butter and mixed with 1 roll of crashed crackers. I baked covered for 20 minutes and uncovered for an additional 20 minutes. I had no idea it would turn out so great.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

I have made this recipes a few times already and I suggest you to cover your casserole and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 20 minutes. This way it will avoid getting dry.

Deep Fried Turkey Rub

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Excellent recipe, but I would reduce the Creole seasoning next time because it turned out so salty, didn't realize it was so much sodium in this seasoning. Our turkey looks burned but that's what happens when fried, it's just the skin it was nice, tender and juicy.

Irresistible Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Absolutely delicious! I really like the fact that it calls for finely crushed, quatered and halved pecans. I used real maple syrup only instead of corn syrup, reduced sugar to 1/2 cup and added 1 tsp of vanilla extract.

This was the first time I ever made my own cramberry sauce, I don't think I will ever buy canned sauces again. Very good, easy and a classic must have at any Thanksgiving table.

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
We really enjoyed this cake, very delicious. I reduced the sugar to 1 cup and it was enough for us. On the frosting I omitted the nuts and next time I will omit the milk as well because I thought it was a little too runny.

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
These muffins really deserve 5 stars, the only reason I'm giving 3 is because they all burned after 35 minutes in the oven. I was still able to cut the botton off and we could eat the top. Other than that these muffins were absolutely delicious. Next time I will bake them for 20-25 minutes.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
This chicken was absolutely delicious! Very easy and quick to preper, I added my homemade taco seasoning the night before. I also reduced the salsa to only 1/2 cup and added 1/4 cup tomato sauce just because other reviewers mentioned that it was too much salsa. It turned out very juice, nice and tender. Served with mexican rice, homemade guacamole and steamed veggies.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
This is an AMAZING recipe! Excellent flavor, very moist, just perfect! In order to reduce fat and sugar I made the following changes: I only used 1 1/4 cup of sugar, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of oil + 1/2 cup apple sauce and reduced the cinnamon to 1 1/2 tsp. On the cream cheese topping I used fat free cream cheese, 1/4 of butter and reduced the sugar to 1 1/4 cup. Thanks Deb this is definitely a keeper!
