We are back home! After 3 weeks visiting my family in Brazil, we just came back yesterday. It was very nice to spend time with my entire family but I’m so happy to be back home. It’s such a long flight, 7 ½ hours, the kids are well rested because they were able to sleep all night in the… MORE

About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom of 2 little boys. I love experimenting new recipes and I try to cook healthy for my family with all organic fruits and vegetables. I avoid all of the processed food, that's why I make pretty much everything from scratch.
My favorite things to cook
We love seafood, I am also a "salad lover" I'm always looking for a nice gourmet salad recipe and I like to make my own salad dressing. We also love tex-mex and vegetarian dishes. I don't eat red meat and our kids are not big on it either, but once in a while I make a dish for my husband.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays are very special for us. I really enjoy cooking on Thanksgiving and Christmas and the kids love to help.
My cooking triumphs
I make the best and healthier Chicken Pot Pie (also known as Pastelao or Empadao in South of Brazil). I also make a really good German Pie, which is my husband's favorite desert.

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce
Good and simple recipe. I made this dish for my husband and kids and they enjoyed it. I omitted the green pepper because I didn't have any and added some fresh basil. Served over whole wheat spaghetti.

Super Healthy Fruit Smoothie
Nice combination of fruits. I omitted the honey and added 1/2 scoop of protein supplement strawberry flavor. I also used orange juice instead of promegranate juice because I didn't have any. Thanks Michalynn!

Tropical Fruit Smoothie
Delicious! The papaya gives a nice flavor and texture. I used frozen mango, frozen strawberry, fresh papaya, fresh squeezed oranje juice and I omitted the ice. Thanks for the recipe!
