Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I
Like most posters, I made a few tweeks to this recipe. Because the dough was thin, and taking the advise of previous posts, I added 1/4 cup of flour. I also upped the cinnamon to 1 1/4 teaspoons and added 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves for added flavor. I soaked the raisins in Rum and increased the amount to 1 3/4 cups. The first batch were thin cookies, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. They were uneven shapped and wonkey. So, I lowered the oven to 350. The remaining batches turned out soft moist and round on the edges. I did yield aprox 4 dozen. I only give 5 stars to recipes that need no tweeking. These cookies did turn out great. However, there was added work needed to get them that way! Happy Baking!!
