Pie Crust Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I have used some pastry recipes in my time, but this one is the best. I didn't have lard, just shortening. I couldn't figure out how to measure it in lbs, so I just kind of eyeballed it, about 3cups. Followed the recipe except for that. Made it for turkey pot pie (leftovers), but I will use this for pies as well. Yummy and easy!

Slow Cooker Lime Chicken with Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Although I did add garlic and onion powder and salt, this was wonderful. I had a ton of leftover cooked bowtie noodles and threw those in for a bit just to warm them up. I too used frozen chicken breasts. I was lucky to get some for myself!

Beer Roasted Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
I have been making "buzzed bird" for years, but this is the best. I didn't have limes, so I used lemons. My son suggested next time (you bet there will be!) to use both. Since I used lemons, I seasoned with lemon pepper. I guess that makes it Beer Roasted Lemon Chicken huh. At any rate, this is chicken!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

This was wonderful. I took one of the suggestions and cooked in slow cooker for 5 hours on high. I also used an entire box of stuffing mix, with 8 frozen breasts. What a great way to use leftover turkey come the holidays! I just had to open an can of cranberry sause with this. It is a definate keeper!

I have made this recipe a couple of times and each time I have to be quick to get one for myself! I wouldn't know about the leftovers, there never are any!

Best Ever Muffins

Great basic recipe! I added 1/4 cup wheat germ to about cup or so of the mix and no one had a clue! Try using only 1/2 the flour and substitute corn meal for the other half. Great!

Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Great recipe. My chicken breasts were thicker and I only have a little table top gas grill so I did need to put them in a 350 degree oven for about 45 min. The only other problem with them was I didn't make enough! This one will be a sure keeper.
