About this Cook
I am in my early 40's. I have two boys, 19 (who is in collage)and 4, I know it sounds crazy. Took me 16 years to get pregnate after many doctors told me I couldn't get pregnate. After the shock/deniel/5 preg. tests wore off, we settled down with a new boy. He has really changed all of our lives I can't even imagine life with out him now. Its so different being older, when I was young with my first boy everything was such a worry about being a good parent doing the right thing, I could go on and on, now it's wonderful to just enjoy him. He keeps me young and makes me smile. He sails with us and goes out into the woods with me while I am pursueing my hobbie, macro photos of wild flowers. I am a professional cook have been for 20 yours. I just started a new job, it's the first time in a long time I am not in charge, it's refreshing. Opens me up to do more creating.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking just about anything but do love mexican. I also love Christmas as I try alot of new recipes to give as gifts. I have given Homemade sausages, different flavors of pasties, and many kinds of candies. I like to cook with friends it brings us together to have fun and make memories in the kitchen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year over the holidays we make egg nog from an old recipe my mother got from her mother. We make a big batch with the kids and sit around the fireplace and sip our nog. We also go to my brothers and sister in laws and have Thanksgiving and Christmas morning brunch. Everyone brings a dish to pass. My husband when we where date couldn't believe all of the food.

Cube Steak Parmigiana
My husband thought it was going to be horrible. But I made it anyway... He just asked for it again. I am going to change a couple things. I have lots of spag. sauce on hand going to use that instead of the homemade sauce so we can serve with noodles. Very Good!!

Cranberry Chicken II
My family and I loved this recipe. I only added 1pkg. of the onion soup mix and it was just as good! I will be making this again. But will be using legs because thats what my family prefers.

My Country Style Steak
I made this recipe yesterday and we where all surprised! My husband said.."I never have thought about cutting the cube steak up." I used onion/mushroom soup mix (because thats all I had on hand and omited the salt, using garlic powder instead, as the soup mix its self is plenty salty enough for our family. I also added a can of mushroom pieces. It ended up being a bit to thick. But I was having some electric skillet mayhem, it would not turn down low enough. So I added a bit of apple cider to thin it back down. It was awesome. I served it over rice with pea pods for our veggie. It will becoming a favorite meal at our house. My husband already said "Dont lose that recipe!"
