Mexican Chicken Soup

Turkey Picadillo

I liked this, simple and easy just like my abuelita makes, yes potatoes and all people!! It is not uncommon for picadillo to have potatoes in it...any way I think the only thing missing would be some tomatoes. Thanks =)

Roasted Vegetables

Made this a few times now both as called for and then with what I had. Both ways are wonderful and super easy!! Either fresh/dry herbs work..I cleaned my fridge out and used zucchini, yellow squash, a couple of potatoes, japanese eggplant and asparagus. For good measure I threw in a few whole cloves of garlic and it was wonderful!! Thanks for the recipe

Cauliflower Casserole

This was such a nice change from the usual drenched in cheese sauce cauliflower casserole...That's probably why people are complaining it's dry..I did lessen the butter and didn't measure the chili flakes, I also just sprinkled the cheese without measuring..I am sure I didn't use a cup...really easy and a good base to add other spices/cheeses to it as well..thanks for the recipe!!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

I really enjoyed this but as some other reviewers recommended I poached the chicken then shredded and let it simmer in the sauce..I think next time I will omit the sugar and lessen the vinegar..I threw in a few splashes of chicken stock and it seemed to mellow the vinegar..I served in corn tortillas with salsa, cheese, guacamole and sour cream..thanks for the recipe!!!

Tomato and Bread Soup

Sooo easy and delicious!! I used dried herbs and it still came out wonderful...You could easily make this heartier by adding in some italian sausage or ground turkey..I topped with fresh parsley and parmesan..Thanks for the recipe =)

Rhubarb Pie IV

AMAZING! My rhubarb loving husband devoured this!! I took the advice of others and mixed the flour/sugar with the rhubarb before I put it in the pie crust..Served it with vanilla bean ice cream and it was a hit!! Thanks for a simple and delicious pie!!

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding

EXCELLENT!!! I did make a few changes, (don't you just hate that in a review!!LOL) I used cinnamon raisin swirl bread and added 1/2 cup of walnuts then just omitted the cinnamon in the eggs. The sauce did appear to be curdling but smoothed out wonderfully after I took it off the heat and whisked in the vanilla..thanks for the recipe =)

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

huge hit!! the only change I made was to double the feta (purely by taste, spinach and tomatoes and instead of pounding them out I made pockets. I think next time I will try pounding them out simply to see how they present that way..anyway, this is worth a try!! thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne

I thought this was a good base recipe..I think the ease of this recipe is that you can adjust the flavor to your own tastes..I added in fresh mushrooms, more wine =), garlic and onion. I knew from reading this it would not satisfy my garlic loving taste buds but I liked the overall ease of it. Add whichever spices you like in this..rosemary, thyme, garlic, onion or a drop of worchestire..thanks for a good base recipe =)

Espinacas con Garbanzos (Spinach with Garbanzo Beans)

love this recipe!! Super easy to prepare and can be modified to suit your taste. I added in a bit more garlic and a dash of paprika, put a splash of chicken broth in and gobbled the whole thing up by myself for lunch =) Thanks for the recipe.

Baked Potato Soup

Excellent...the only reason this does not get 5 stars is because I did lessen the amount of basil and added in a pinch of thyme and rosemary...I didn't bother to bake the potatoes. Just threw them in with the stock and let them simmer until done. Thanks for sharing

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

looks like I am one of few who just didn't like this..overall it was just ok, but it was def. missing something. Very bland as recipe called for, and even after I added in extra seasonings it still was just boring. I had such high hopes for this...we ate it but after I doctored it up quite a bit. Thanks anyway =)

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

I would def, give this 5 stars but I altered a bit by using applesauce and skim milk, and 1 tbl. brown sugar plus I added a tbl. of flax seed and I was in such a rush I completely forgot the eggs!! But they came out beautifully, very dense and filling....thick batter that needs to be spread out, next time I will try with the eggs (or egg whites) LOL...thanks for a healthy alternative =)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Well I did use whole wheat flour, applesauce and 1/2 splenda and even with the added pumpkin spice that other reviewers suggested I found them lacking something maybe some brown sugar..def. moist and cake-like..not like a cookie at all but will make these again with a tad more spice and sugar...thanks for sharing =)

White Chili with Ground Turkey

I really enjoyed this recipe!! It was a nice break from the usual heartburn inducing chili that I usually make. LOL I did add only 3 cups of liquid and doubled up on all the spices and chilis and it was still fairly mild...I went easy on the cinnamon and garnished with tortilla strips and sour cream...thanks for the recipe!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Sooo good!! I did add in some mushrooms and a little bt of garlic and onion powder because I add them to everything!! Came out tasty and creamy!! Hubby devoured it and he asked for more chicken so def. add more chicken if you can. Thanks for the recipe!!
