Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
These cookies were an unexpected treat. I never thought pumpkin and chocolate would be good together but I was wrong. I made these for a food day at work and had to talk people into trying them. now each fall,I'm asked to bring these in. They are dense and very rich...very tasty and a keeper.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
I made a 9x9 pan of this recipe by using the calculator to make 9 servings and I made a huge mistake. I should have made the full 9x13 pan b/c this was THE best recipe EVER!! I have never had anything this good homemade, store bought, grandma made ever. Use and use again. For those who love Strawberry and rhubarb, make this. It's easy and it's wonderful!! Heaven in a pan!! Thank you to the inventor. You made my day!!

Zucchini Pineapple Bread I

It's a good thing this made 2 loaves because loaf #1 was gone within 1 hour. I want to try my hand at adding some grated carrots too just to see how it turns out but this bread is terrific!

This was a wonderful, simple recipe. Drain the yams for sure. I skipped the marshmallows b/c of the brown sugar and it was fabulous!! I have found a new family favorite!

Baked Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
I loved this but did tweek it some. I used about 7 tennisball size new/red potatoes and about 5 cups of milk. I also spiced it up some with some parsley, garlic salt, lemon pepper, regular salt and pepper and also added some tastefully simple horseradish mix..that was good. I sauted onion in butter before making the roux and mashed the potatoes once the roux was complete. Very good, will definitely serve again!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I have made this recipe twice now and it got better! This time I added a fresh pear sliced and it adds something really tasty to the recipe.I did not use any crumble mixture for a bottom crust either. I dumped it all on top and it went over well. My coworkes had the pan cleaned out in no time. I also used a glass dish larger than a 9x9 but smaller than a 9x13. Worked very well.
