Fish in Foil

I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and added the salt separately and it came out great! Even my husband cleaned his plate, and his idea of fish is fish sticks.

Cranberry Sauce

I used half white sugar, and half brown sugar, added a bit of orange zest and used 1/2 cup orange juice, and 1/2 cup of an orange mango blend. This came out wonderfully - just make sure to have enough time to let it cool down and set.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Great coleslaw. Tasty and easy to make. One note: I chopped one head of cabbage. The amount was fine, but I would shred the cabbage next time.

Crumb-Topped Rhubarb

Really really good. We had too much food for dinner so I didnt serve it for dessert, but when company left the husband and I stood in the kitchen and started ... and couldnt stop ... and that was without ice-cream! It came out a bit thin, so I think next time I will add some more rhubarb and use a smaller dish.

Rhubarb Muffins

Pretty good. I was a little worried because the mix was pretty stiff, but they came out nice and light. Next time I think I will use whole wheat flour for a bit more flavour. I also followed what some people did which was add some blueberries - which was good advice.

B Muffins

While I am not a bran or whole wheat muffin fan, this came out pretty good. I used applesauce instead of oil, added a banana, put one and a half cups of blueberries, put a touch of cinnamon and cloves for a bit more flavour, and since I didnt have oat bran, put rolled oats instead. This was a hit with my 2 year old and would definatly make it again!

Cedar Plank-Grilled Salmon with Garlic, Lemon and Dill

This is fantastic! It was the first time I used planks and I was glad for the instructions on how to set it up. The salmon I used was a large piece without skin, and it came out fabulous.

Rainbow Trout with Yogurt Sauce

I was looking for a recipe with a creamy sauce - and while this was with yogurt - it fit the bill. I used dried dill instead of fresh dill (I halved the quantity)and it came out great! Definatly a keeper.

Czech Roast Pork

Eating this was truly an experience! Very easy to make, and got rave reviews from husband. I used crushed garlic instead of garlic powder and a Labatt Blue Pilsner which I proceeded to have with dinner.
