About this Cook
Married to a very picky eater, mother of 2 girls, 3 and 1.5 years, 1 more on the way.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort food! Chili, stew, meat & potatoes
My favorite family cooking traditions
I really don't have any.
My cooking triumphs
Dinner party for a group of friends. I made stuffed pork loin on the grill, it was magnificent! The whole dinner including dessert was a huge success.
My cooking tragedies
Dinner for my in-laws. My pressure cooker didn't seal. The result was BLACK stuffed flank steak. I threw the pressure cooker away and am in the market for a better one....any suggestions?

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
I had to make cookies for a party, and these were such a big hit!! I had several people ask me how I got them to stay soft. I saw one man go to the table 5 times! I have a feeling I will be asked to make the cookies more often.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake
I made this recipe twice for a party. The first time I followed the directions perfect; it cracked and was a brown on the top and edges (not v. pretty). The second time I made it, I read several reviews first. I ended up following the directions exactly as I did the first time, but baked it in a water bath!!! IT TURNED OUT PERFECT!!!!!! I baked both the same day and the only difference was the water bath. Chantal's Cheesecake is by FAR the BEST cheesecake I have ever had! I can't wait to have another party so I can bake it again. I don't usually say WOW THIS IS AWESOME about food I make when I have company over, but I couldn't help it. It was beautiful!
