Spring Lime Tea Cookies

I found these to be rather lackluster in flavor even though I used gorgeous juicy limes right off my tree and followed the recipe exactly as written.

I halved all the ingredients except the flour (used 3/4cup) and omitted the nuts. Got 24 fabulous tasting cookies that were not flat :) Thanks for sharing!

I found the flavors to be too mild... I suppose I just like my flavors to be more "front and center"

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Used half the shrimp but the full amount of marinade. Added some red pepper flakes and reduced the olive oil to 1/4c based on other reviews. Excellent.

Old-World Rye Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
This really was great! Bought Organic Rye Flour at the market last night and wanted to find a good recipe for rye bread. This was it! I was worried about the cocoa powder at first but you can't taste it one bit. Before baking I brushed on a little bit of milk and sprinkled on some dry oats and it looks just like the loaf that's served at Outback Steakhouse... and tastes close to it as well. I halved the recipe since I was trying it out for the first time but will definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing :)

Royal Icing III

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
Fantastic. I used 1 egg white, 1 cup confectioner's sugar and 1/4 tsp cream of tartar and the results were most excellent on sugar cookies. The cream of tartar is essential for a smooth icing . For all of you looking for the perfect royal icing, you've now found it!
