Pistachio Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
Mine turned out perfectly. Apparently people can't read a recipe. No where in this recipe does it say to make the pudding first. It says to fold the pudding mix, which would be the mix right out of the pudding package, into the whipped topping.

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This is my new favorite way to make roast beef! As written, I give it 4 stars because I like the gravy mixture better with the Lipton onion soup mix added. With that added, I would rate it 5 stars. I cooked for about 10 hours since I was at work & it was absolutely perfect.

Creamy Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I absolutely LOVE this recipe!!! I rarely even make beef lasagna anymore! I personally do not prefer to use the ready-to-bake noodles. I tried it once like that & didn't like it as much. I also tried it with chunks of chicken instead of shredding it & definitely prefer the shredded. It makes the filling so much creamier. I would recommend using a pan the next size down, 7x11 I believe it is. It makes a much fuller looking lasagna.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I wasn't very impressed with this, in fact I was rather disappointed. I think it's a good start to do some tweaking. I didn't think it had enough lime flavor & with the amount of butter in it, it wasn't really a sauce in my opinion. It was just lime hinted butter. I will definitely try again, but with some changes.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was just ok to me. I couldn't really taste the honey at all, which was really disappointing because I was looking forward to it. All I could taste were the cloves & I'm not a big fan of cloves. I may try again with some of the other reviewers suggestions, but probably not as written.

Meatball Grinders with a Yummy Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
My husband & I both really liked this. I accidentally only put two cans of pizza sauce in it, with the same amount of everything else, & it still turned out really good. Perfect amount of sauce & flavor. It's also good with cheddar cheese on it, in case anyone runs out of mozzarella halfway through the recipe like I did. :-/

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
I'm pretty sure I did something wrong! Though I don't know how! Haha. The breasts were great & perfect. They had so much moisture & flavor, but the legs weren't even done. We had to throw them away. I barely had enough for my guests. I guess I'll try again. Maybe I missed something because I was so busy making everything else too.

Slow Cooker Venison Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
My husband absolutely loved this, me not so much. I liked to stew itself, but I've discovered I don't care much for venison & the flavor it gives. Maybe I'll try it again with just plain beef.

Spaghetti with Broccoli and Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
This was pretty good. I think for my personal taste, it needed a little more flavor though. I also used ziti noodles instead of spaghetti noodles too.

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
We did not care for this at all! The veggies were not done enough & the cooktime wasn't long enough to disperse the flavors. I think it needs to be cooked all day.

Juiciest Hamburgers Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
I might have to try these again...they got such great reviews but I didn't care for them much. They tasted good, but I think maybe it was the texture of the meat, if that makes any sense?

Chili Con Queso Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This was pretty good for a basic recipe. I had to add a lot more chili powder for my taste, but that's just personal preference. I will also probably try some of the other reviewers' suggestions next time because we thought it needed a little something more. Definitely good though.

Instant Pistachio Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Always a great classic holiday dish! I don't normally do this to recipes when first trying them, but I did make a few changes to make it more like I remembered it. I added a can of fruit cocktail, did not drain the pineapple juice, and used the colorful flavored marshmallows.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
My husband & I really loved these cookies. They were easy to make & rolled easily, which I've always had problems with in the past. They weren't too sweet like some sugar cookies. I used "Sugar Cookie Frosting", from this website, on them..which was a fantastic combo. I will be using this recipe anytime I make sugar cookies from now on.

Very good frosting. It's sweet enough but not too sweet. I used it on "The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies", also from this website & they made a great combo.

Absolutely delicious! Very easy to make. Extremely tender & flavorful. Made great sandwiches the next day with a little gravy. I will definitely be making this again.

Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
My husband & I really enjoyed this! Being from Wisconsin, we figured we couldn't go wrong with brats & cheese! Haha. I didn't add the red pepper as I didn't have any & I substituted the beans for corn. I rated it 4 stars because I would probably make changes next time; i.e. cut down on the brats used, add a can of cheese soup, use chopped onions & cook on low for a few hours more so the potatoes get a little more done.

Chicken and Rice Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This was pretty good. Like others suggested, I just made minute rice & put it in for 10 minutes or so at the end. I also put celery seasoning in because I hate to buy celery & have the rest go to waste. It tasted a little more like canned soup as opposed to homemade soup to me, but I would still definitely make it again. It's great for a workday soup.

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
I brought this to a potluck for work & it was gone almost instantly. It was really delicious. I baked it for 20 minutes before I took it so it'd stay mostly warm by the time we could eat it. Next time I will leave out the green peppers because of personal preference.

Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
I really liked this. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I wasn't overly crazy about the pecans in the stuffing. It was definitely good that way, but I think I'd prefer it without them.
