Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
Im a huge fan of this chicken!!! This was sooo moist, flavorful and best of all easy. I have read all the reviews and came up with this. I put potatoes, onions, carrots, garlic and 1/2 cup of both on the bottem. Seasoned the chicken under the skin and over with garlic slivers, salt, pepper, paprika, basil, parsley and BUTTER. I seasoned it twice in the beganing and near the end. Breast side down. I couldnt stuff anything in the cavity bec it was still somewhat frozen. Put on high for 2 hours and low for 4 1/2 hours. This was a 5 pd. chicken. I then put it in the oven on 450 for 20 mins bec I like the skin crispy. I made gravy with the juices just in case it came out dry. I didnt need it!! This was perfect. Thanks! Note: have made this many times and a 5 pounder is the best to use. Also everything that was at bottem of cooker goes in the oven too, gives them a nice crispiness and takes care of one of the side dishes.

I used basil instead of oregano bec thats all I had. I also added garlic and used butter as others have suggested. This had a great taste and goes well with spagetti, soups or salads.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
First off I used frozen meatballs instead of ground beef. I added some garlic, mushrooms and some spices. I didnt use cottage cheese because I dont like it. I just doubled the mozzarella. This is the only way I will eat spaghetti. Really good!!

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
My mom used to make these all the time when I was younger. I guess she made them differently or I did something wrong. I was looking forward to having them again. I guess Ill have to ask her what she did and try again. My breadcrumbs didnt stick to the zucchini and it turned out bland... I guess you have to season them alot.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Obviously most of us know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich. This is just the place to get new tips and variations on it. I personaly like to use American cheese with thin salami. Also I like cheese with thin turkey and few dabs of hot sauce. Im going to try it with mayo. I was just too hungry for lunch today..just in case I didnt like it.

Was okay. Id made again if I had nothing else to do with potatoes. Plus took too long for a side dish..you do need to cook for like an hour.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I make my own meatloaf all the time so was looking for a change. I usually tweek the recipes on here to my taste but decided to stay true to this one except to put sauce on top. Ive never have had saltines in my meatloaf or put milk. I liked the milk in it but I will Not use saltines again will stick with bread. The sauce I will use that for now on alot better than ketchup:) I do feel like there is a better mealoaf out there but my one friend said he hates mealoaf and liked this sooo thats why I give you 4 stars and for the sauce. thx..Also I usually use salsa in my meatloaf and wet taco sauce for the top...lol sounds weird but its pretty good.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
Only thing I did different was double dip in the batter and bread. Used mozzorella cheese and put some sauce on top also. Do wait 5 mins till done to put cheese on. Next time Ill probally make my own sauce instead of using sauce from out of the jar. Best Parmesan Chicken Ive ever had!! Thats what this recipe should be called bec everyone at the dinner table said that and I agree:)

Sweet and Sour Chicken III

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
This was alright..I thought the chicken and pineapple went real well together but the sauce was not strong enough for me. Ive made sweet and sour meatballs that had half grape jelly and half chillie sauce. Maybe that will work...Thanks anyways.

Cheater Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
WOW!! Really good!! Very hearty warm meal. I did make some changes suggested by reviewers. Cooked half the biscuits on the bottom, used fresh chicken and fresh veggies. I cut up a large potato, 1/2 cup of peas and diced up some carrots. Boiled them til soft and put with mixture. I also had to put some flour in soup mixture to thicken up. Next time Im not gonna put biscuits on the bottem werent as good as the ones on top. Also gonna try some brocolli with it too...Thank you.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
This had a great Asian barbeque taste to it. I was pleasantly surprised. Here are my changes. First I used chicken tenders. Than I cooked the sauce in the pan first as suggested. Used more garlic and only like 1/2 cup honey.(I measure by eye and taste) Than I put a tablespoon of flour to thicken it up. which it did!! Had no problem there.. Put in the oven for 18 mins at 400. Great dish and went well with green beans and tomatoes from this site.
